Those Kurt Cobain sunglasses
In the Nirvana frontman's last photoshoot before his untimely death, he only took off these glasses once...
Jesse Frohman snapped these iconic photos of Kurt Cobain in August 1993, 8 months before he died, in an interview commissioned for the Observer newspaper.
Cobain's white oval shaped glasses were memorable, and when Frohman was interviewed years later about the occasion, he recalled that the rocker only took them off once - and that he had good reason to be wearing them, after presumably a hard night's partying (something we are no stranger to here in Ibiza!).
There have been countless copies, but the originals were by Christian Roth. The brand was taken over by DITA Eyewear last year, and so they re-released the style under the name Archive 1993.
The style was adopted by numerous US rap stars last year, and have been termed "Clout Goggles" (the term even made it into the 2017 Urban Dictionary).
We say accept no substitutes! If you like the style, why not get the real deal?
